Sand Valley Resort

Rome, WI

Clearing has begun for the third 18-hole course at Sand Valley Resort, in central Wisconsin.

From an ecological perspective, and also for the purpose of increasing the cameraderie of the game, golf courses need to get back to a smaller footprint.  Our goal is to build a shorter golf course – 6,200 yards from the back tees – in the style of Swinley Forest and other UK heathland courses.  We believe we can create just as much excitement as the resort’s existing courses, on a course that takes 30-40 minutes less time to play, and uses 20% less water and fertilizer.
