The third 18-hole course for Sand Valley is a reaction to the trend of modern courses growing ever larger. Inspired by the London heathland designs of Harry Colt, J.F. Abercromby, and their peers, Sedge Valley is a 6200-yard par-68 fighter that punches far above its weight class.
The opening run of four par-4 holes will quickly correct any notion of the course being a pushover, but it’s the next stretch of four [including three one-shot holes and a drivable par-4] that prove the adage about good things coming in small packages.
